We have formed a valuable partnership with The Scarborough Hospital to open the Global Community Resource Centre for patients, families and community members. The Centre is a one-stop, interactive hub providing information on health issues community services and resources in Scarborough.
The Global Community Resource Centre is staffed by internationally trained professionals who are available to answer questions and help patients, families and community members find the information they are looking for. Some examples of areas they can provide help in include illness-related questions such as diabetes, Alzheimer’s and dementia, wellness and staying healthy and also information resources available in the Scarborough community.
The Centre also holds weekly workshops in a variety of languages. Topics are listed on The Scarborough Hospital’s website and pre-registration is not required.
